I use paint too! Except my comics suck, so I guess it wouldn't matter much. Yours actually looks good with paint.

I'm thinking you were thinking "If Qwerty's text is bright enough, they won't notice I spelled 'Forgot' wrong."

Also, Link_Luvr, there's Paint.Net, and then there's MS Paint. There's a difference between the two..

Reply supercomputer276, December 30th, 2008, 2:17 am

Oh yeah, there's a HUGE difference. Paint.NET is like Photoshop without the cost and light glare effects.

Reply Crescent Moon, December 30th, 2008, 3:46 am

So why are those two way smaller than the trailer?

Reply true mercha, December 30th, 2008, 7:14 am

that think is still a recolour

but yeah thats prettymuch my year too -_-

You decided that resizing your sprites wasn't worth the effort.
You also decided to give the little guy there (whose name must've taken you a good year to come up with) text that's so bright, you can't read it that well!
Like Shard said, it was a pretty clever attempt.
Another look reveals something that irks me.
You left some nice little dots on the edges of your boxes. I normally would pass this by, but here's my problem with that.
First, it would seem as though you forgot to put it on a separate layer or something and ended up having to resize it. The other thing is that, if you had put it on a separate layer, you could've easily done what all spriters are able to do: Get rid of the dots, one pixel at a time. Doesn't take long, but the quality is improved.
Final note: Why would it seem as though there are a bunch of white dots everywhere on the trailer and grass?
Don't take the criticism personally. I would rip into anyone this hard. It is a bit worse since I just got a shot and my shoulder hurts like heck.
Anyways, here's the summary:
Give your comics a once over before you send it in. Check for a few little things that are easily fixable and fix them.
Sorry if I struck a nerve.

Well, i WAS gunna give a little constructive criticism here, but it seems the guy above me just made all the points -.-'

Reply Shinku-sama (Guest), December 30th, 2008, 7:37 pm

He's hit all the main points... nothing I can say... darn.

Reply hyperguy152, December 30th, 2008, 7:39 pm

I know what's wrong with it. You don't need to tell me.

Reply true mercha, December 31st, 2008, 4:30 am

why wont you fix it?

Reply Ultric Sandov, December 31st, 2008, 9:44 am

Hey look! Mercha beat me to it!
Edit: I figure I could elaborate. I'm bored, why not?
If you know what's wrong, you fix it.
If you don't fix it and someone gives you advice, you take it.
If you don't take it, you don't retort either.
I told you, now it's time for square one.
By the way, where the heck is everyone else?
Crescent, Shard, Dragon, Poke guy (can't remember, but you really need to get back in here), SC, Kiara, Git in hear and post! (I left Ryan out because he's got 2ES)
So far, the plot has ended, but the most recent stuff includes SC trying to cure Kat, Slash getting the heck freaked out of him and finding himself trapped in his trailer with a guy who's so friendly, he'll use portals, and the plot's dead.
Varied authors are needed.
Out of curiosity, did the poke guy and Kiara leave SJ or something?

...I have got to stop writing so early in the morning...

By the way, that was all constructive. Hopefully it wakes up people.

Well thanx for clearing THAT up Shard and supercomputer276 about the and MS paint, cuz one of my friends had me convinced they were the same. Darn me for being so gullible.
BTW: Love this comic!
